Letter from Mrs. Rabe

Fontana Middle School Students and Families,                                           8/28/2015

My name is Kristin Rabe and I am very excited to be your science teacher!  I graduated from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin with a secondary education broadfield science degree with a biology minor.  After graduation I was a substitute teacher for both the Washburn and Ashland School Districts and held a long term high school science position in Ashland before coming to Fontana in 2013.

I am very passionate about sports and played four years of college softball as well as college basketball as well as coached collegiate softball.  I am once again lucky enough to coach the Fontana middle school girls’ basketball team as well as assist with Big Foot Area High School softball. Along with sports, I am also very passionate about scouting.  I grew up in Laona, Wisconsin on LeFeber Northwoods Boy Scout Camp where I will will spending my 12th summer working on camp staff, my 5th in the Program Director position.

My goal for this year is to create a welcoming classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable, safe, and excited about learning.  In order to make this a reality, I will make every effort to get to know your son/daughter as an individual.  I would also really appreciate getting to know you as the parents and guardians of my students.  Please feel free to stop by my classroom and introduce yourself!!!!  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns throughout this semester, do not hesitate to bring them to my attention.  I have included my contact information below.  I look forward to meeting you!  Together we can all make this another wonderful school year!
