Thanks to Jeff Magnus at Aquatic Specialty for donating a 55 gallon tank and stand. Many staff, students, and parents have donated time and money to his move. The cleaning process required special smelling equipment for the students 😂#bettertogether #FontanaPride
Dear Families, Governor Tony Evers has issued a statewide closure of all schools in Wisconsin. We will close after school on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 and tentatively reopen on April 6, 2020. The closure will include cancellation of all school related activities and childcare. Teachers will be sending information for virtual learning, and some may send paper work as well. The Department of Public Instruction is working on guidance for schools, and it remains unclear if there will be any lost instructional days forgiven by the state. More information will be made available as soon as updates are received. Please call our office or contact administration with any questions/concerns. Respectfully, Mark Wenzel, Administrator firstname.lastname@example.org Steve Torrez, Principal email@example.com

What's New with Fuel Up to Play 60 Our team has been hard at work thinking of different ways for our students to be active and healthy in and out of school. This week we are kicking off our Take Home Gym. Any family can sign out our take home gym for a night for a way to beat the winter blues and be active at home. The Take Home Gym has 15 pieces of our favorite PE equipment. Families can check out the Take Home Gym there is a sign-out sheet posted in the gym, on the bulletin board. Remember, you must return the Take Home Gym the following day so another family can enjoy all the fun. Our club members also hosted a dairy taste test before the holiday break. Our club members made three different types of "milksicles" which included strawberry, blueberry, and vanilla. The students loved their healthy treat. Our club is challenging you to come up with a dairy snack you can make at home with the kids. Think of a fun recipe to try with them and send it our way! We might even try it for our next taste test. Lastly, for the last two months, our school has been participating in the "MOOving through Wisconsin" contest. Our club has challenged the students and staff to reach 1,000 miles by Feb 1, 2019. Currently, the teachers are in the lead with 709 miles, followed by Mr. Scott (yes he did all of this alone!), with 658 miles, and in 3rd place 4th grade with 466 miles. There are still a few weeks left of this contest; the log sheets can are on the bulletin board in the gym. There are some great hiking trails around the area go out with your kids and explore the paths, don't forget to log those miles. The Take Home Gym also has two fitness trackers in it that you can use for the night! Thank you for supporting our Fuel Up to Play 60 program, and we hope you enjoy these opportunities!

10/29/18 Mr. Parker at Big Foot Union High School District sent out the following message earlier today, 10/29/18: BFHS received a message threatening the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We have been working closely with the Walworth Police Department in correlation to the threat. We DO NOT believe at this time it is credible in any way. However, to ensure everyone's safety, we will be closing BFHS at 12:30 pm today. Once again, we DO NOT believe it is credible in any way. The buses will be available at 12:20 to take home all bus riding students. We think we have identified the issues behind our all-call for the lunch balances. To test the system, there will be a message sent via text, email, and voice tomorrow (10/25) at 4:15 p.m. Please check your Infinite Campus information or contact school for help if you do not receive the messages or if you need to change who gets which message.
Districts, students, and parents are reporting an issue with the new Campus Student and Campus Parent apps. Upon opening their app, some students and parents are seeing a blank white screen or a white screen showing a “Connection Error” message. Initial investigation points to intermittent connectivity issues when the system authenticates the user’s credentials. At no time is any data at risk of being compromised. We appreciate your patience as we further investigate to resolve this issue. Until this issue is resolved, students and parents experiencing this issue may access Campus Student or Campus Parent on their mobile device by using a web browser. If your district desires to review updates, please refer to Campus Community. Students and parents desiring to review updates may see them at our public page for students and parents. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to the incident at Big Foot High School today, the Lyric Opera performance was canceled. As soon as I was informed of the situation, the bus was canceled, and our 5th graders continued with a normal school day. I want to reassure you, though, that Chief Cates and I will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day.
Attention third grade parents: please check your student's backpack tonight for an important letter from Dr. Norton.
Oh no! From the phone calls we are getting today, we've figured out that our phone call list for low lunch balances included all contacts instead of just the primary one. We are working on it right away so that we don't have the same thing happen next Thursday. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we continue to work on our new communication system!
Attention Fontana band families: On Friday, band students will report to the band room at the end of the school day. Make sure they have a sack lunch as lunch will not be provided. Students will take a bus to and from the 2:00 Homecoming parade and should be picked up at school at approximately 2:45. Students should wear the usual symphonic band concert attire (black shoes, socks, and pants with a white polo shirt). Contact Mr. Stolfe with questions.

WHAT DID I DO THIS SUMMER? Mrs. Popp, As with every summer, the summer of 2018 was fun filled, relaxing, and productive. The Popp family completed a lot of projects around the house, went snorkeling in Lake Geneva, spent time up in the Dells, and visited family in Spooner, WI. We enjoyed making many great memories with friends and family!
A six minute dismissal! Thanks to all for working together for a safe, quick dismissal. It was a great first week, and we are looking forward to the next one!
Pick-up was 4 minutes faster today--even with the rain! Folks are coming early, though. We had 30 cars in line by 3:20, and the line backed up from there. With so many people coming early, the line gets long, and the wait must seem even longer. We dismiss students at 3:30, and it takes several minutes for them to get out of the building and to their spots. Please remember that our preschool students are dismissed at 3:15 and do not pull into the fire lane until all of our little ones are picked up. Those cars must be able to pull up to the front of the building. Thanks to those of you who pulled forward at drop off this morning! It was smooth and quickly done!
Hello, Falcons! Even with the rain and late student dismissal, the pick up process took just over 8 minutes from the first to final student! A couple tweaks to keep the lines moving: during drop off, please unload on the south side of the cross walk so that we can keep the line moving. Feel free to pull forward so that more cars can fit in the circle. On our end, we'll work on dismissing students on time! Thanks for your patience as we all learn and grow!
First day is almost here! Check your email with beginning of the day reminders. School starts at 8:20 and dismisses at 3:30. Can't wait!
