Hello Falcons!
Week 12 was very busy after being off for the Thanksgiving break. As a reminder, only the middle school report cards have been sent home. The elementary report cards will be mailed home by the end of this week (middle school is quarters and elementary is trimester reporting). Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- 8th grade art student Harmony Hernandez recently received recognition from the Rube Goldberg Institute for Innovation and Creativity. The organization sponsored a cartoon contest and Harmony's picture was selected to appear in the online gallery with other students across the country. Harmony received an original Rube Goldberg cartoon as part of her prize package! Way to go Harmony, your Falcon family is proud of our accomplishment.
- Our ever popular Book Fair is this week. Starting Monday we will have the book fiar running in our library each day. One way we are able to make this a success is through the generous volunteers who share their time and love of reading. A sign-up link is included. See you there! https://signup.com/go/iGobKbu
- Our Fontana Student Services Department does so much for our community, school, and students each day. We have many resources, connections, and supports in place to ensure our school community is prioritizing wellness and safety. HERE is our most recent newsletter.
- Our winter concert is coming up on December 12th at Big Foot High School. We will have our second annual bake sale fundraiser to support band/choir/music at Fontana. Sign up HERE if you are interested/able to help! There also is a good chance our famous auction cake makes another appearance!!
- In December we have so many classroom activities and after school events that there is likely opportunities for volunteering. Each year our PTSO helps coordinate "Room Rangers" and helpers for different activities. Below is the form that went home and can be turned in at school for room and PTSO helpers.
