School update

Hello Falcons!!

What a fun week 6 of the school year starting last Sunday with our PTSO golf outing (pictured)!!  Mother Nature was on our side as we brought our golf outing back from the pandemic for a wonderful event.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. It was an honor and privilege to welcome back the Loved Ones Lunch this past Friday.  We had nearly 100 Loved Ones visit our students from 4k through 8th grade, which included brothers, sisters, moms, dads, uncles, aunts, cousins, parents, friends, grandparents, great grandparents etc.  What we know is our students are loved in abundance!!  Thank you to our PTSO for putting this event on with our office staff.  None of this can happen without our hard working maintenance and custodial staff!!
  2. Another reminder that our Parent/Teacher conferences will start this coming Thursday, October 20th from 4-8pm.  Our second day of conferences will take place on Tuesday, October 25th from 4-8pm.
  3. If you haven't heard, our Fall Fun Fest will return with great anticipation on Thursday, October 27th.  Fall Fun Fest is a wonderful event to meet new families, celebrate Halloween, and experience so many fun games and adventures at our school.  Our PTSO is seeking volunteers and help to make this event a success.  Link included for sign-up.  Don't miss this Fontana tradition!!  https://signup.com/go/VOLjLcr
  4. Our very own Fontana Public Library, other local libraries, and the Geneva West Rotary have been able to provide enough funding to get the Dolly Parton Imagination Library available to all of our families with children under 5.  The vision of this program, supported by the Walworth County Reading Project, is to get books in the hands of every child from birth to 5 years old.  Image with the QR code included for sign up.  This is for any/all families with children birth to 5 so please share freely.
  5. This week our volleyball team played amazing.  Tuesday we faced Sharon.  The B-team won 3-0 and the A-team won 2-1.  Thursday was Reek which once again gave us a victory.  The B-team won 2-1 and the A-team won 2-1.  Next week we will play on Tuesday against Walworth and Thursday we will play Sharon again.  Both games will be at home. Come cheer on the volleyball team.  GO FALCONS
  6. BONUS--Halloween is fast approaching.  Our 4k-5th grade Falcons will celebrate Halloween with their classmates on October 27th.  For more details a link is provided HERE.  Please contact your teacher or the office for more details or with any questions.

Have a great weekend Falcons!!
