EVERY STUDENT. EVERY DAY. WHATEVER IT TAKES.

ABOUT NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY:

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a prestigious organization for middle schoolers that elevates students' academic and social profiles. It shifts the focus from simply "getting the grade" to becoming a well-rounded, active member of society. At Fontana our NJHS and student council members work together to embody school spirit and create a community impact.

How to join

To join the NJHS, students who meet the Scholarship requirement must submit a formal application detailing how they embody the remaining four pillars. They must document significant Service through unpaid volunteer work, highlight Leadership by showcasing roles where they took initiative, and demonstrate strong Character and Citizenship through their school involvement and personal conduct. This application is then evaluated by a faculty council to ensure the candidate's daily life aligns with the NJHS philosophy of academic excellence and community impact.
