Hello Falcons!!

Week 34 was the 64th year of Outdoor Education and the weather and activities were amazing. Learning about and caring for our environment is not only important, but a lifelong skill for all to learn. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. May is mental health awareness month. Don't forget to sign up for the Falcons Walk for Wellness on May 17th. Link HERE to donate, sign up and learn more about this third annual event. Last year we raised $2500 and our goal this year is to raise $3000 for Bigger Than The Trail BTTT. See you at Duck Pond on the 17th!

  2. Summer School is coming. We are planning some fun summer learning challenges and activities with the Fontana Public Library (flier below). We will also have a summer learning bootcamp at the end of July/early August. Please complete the LINK HERE to help us gauge interest and staffing needs.

  3. Our 8th grade took their annual trip to Chicago for the art museum. They are quite busy in May as they prepare for their 8th grade promotion on May 30th.

  4. This coming week we honor our Fontana staff during Staff Appreciation Week! Our incredible staff have been hard at work since last summer preparing, completing professional development, and meeting the needs of 200 students and their families each and every day. THANK YOU Fontana Staff and know that your time/energy is appreciated beyond measure!!

  5. Congratulations to our Falcons who competed in the first track meet of the season this past week. We had a handful of first time track athletes try all new events from long jump to running running 400m and relays. We look forward to our second meet on Wednesday May 8th 4pm at Big Foot High School. Come on out and support the team.

  6. Our last Parent/Teacher Organization meeting will be this Wednesday, May 8th at 7p. We are always looking for parents and support to keep our programming, activities, and community partnerships connected throughout the year. Many hands make light work and we would love to welcome any newcomers to our meeting. Margaret Labus is our PTSO president and you can also contact Steve Torrez with any questions.

May the 4th be with you on this Star Wars themed day!! Have a great weekend and see you Monday Falcons!!
