Hello Falcons!!

We hope our Falcon community was able to stay safe and avoid any major damage during the unique ice storm we experienced during week 24.  Our school community pulling together to ensure virtual learning happened for two days was a testament to everyone's commitment to the success of each Falcon.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. As many of you know, we kicked off our "Kids Heart Challenge" in PE class.  A flyer is attached HERE with a scan code and link to get signed up if you are not already.  Kids can earn key chains and prizes for taking part in different activities.
  2. All kids ages 12 and under are invited to attend a Morning in Neverland with the Big Foot High School cast of Peter Pan and Wendy on March 5th from 10-11:30a!  Meet the characters like Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Wendy, John, and Michael Darling and other Lost Boys and pirates! Tickets are $7 per kid and will be payable at the door with CASH ONLY!  Reserve your child's spot by filling out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/uwa4XjArh9KACd3ZA Parents or guardians must remain with your child at all times. This is not a drop off event.
  3. Thank you again to all of our community business partners and our school community for an amazing Science Fair.  It is so encouraging to see so many leaders in our area showing their great work, opportunity, and bringing STEM to life for our students.  We can't wait to continue to grow/expand our STEM and Science Fair opportunities in the future!
  4. With all of the communication going out this week it is a good opportunity to check back in with our communication services.  Each family/contact person should have gotten a text, email, or both on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We also share on social media and our website, but if you did not get a text, email, or both this past week please contact our office and we will be sure to update your information.
  5. On February 17th we held our annual 4k/5k screening to meet with any prospective and interested students/families for the 23/24 school year. If you were unable to attend this event please contact our office and we can set up a visit and/or answer any questions about our 4k and 5k programs at Fontana.

We look forward to the ice melting off of our world this weekend and our trees may again stand up tall!  Enjoy your last weekend in February and we look forward to seeing you all Monday.
