School update

Hello Falcons!!

We had quite a busy week 32 with Forward testing and planning for the remainder of the school year.  Pictured are the high school outdoor education camp leaders for this coming OE camp at Conference Point.  There are many traditions at OE, however, one of the great memories are of the high school mentors/leaders that give back to the program each year for our Fontana students.  OE starts May 1st and we couldn't be more excited for our 6th graders!  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. The third quarter is now complete for middle school and all report cards were mailed home as of today.  All 6-8 report cards are available online through Infinite Campus and a paper copy has also been mailed home today.  Please reach out to our office if you need a copy or help accessing online.
  2. Thank you to all that attend our Fine Arts Night this past Thursday.  We were able to showcase the great artististic abilities of our students while also providing excellent performances by our choir and bands.  Great job and thank you to Mrs. Bagby, Mr. Smith, and Mr. McCanna for organizing our fun community evening.
  3. Our student attendance and focus this week was excellent as we completed our Wisconsin Forward testing.  This is a State required test that is taken each year for our 3-8th graders.  This test is a large portion of our school report card and the results will be shared at the beginning of next school year.  We know that our individual students are so much more than one test score, but we also pursue continuous improvement for each and every person at our school and this test is one part of a larger measure at Fontana!
  4. This coming Friday, April 28th, we will have our annual Arbor Day Assembly.  As a Tree City, Fontana is honored to host and plan this important assembly each year!
  5. Don't forget to sign up for our 2nd Annual Falcon's Walk for Wellness on May 19th.  This 5k fun run/walk is to raise awareness of self-care, mental health and wellness.  All donations collected go directly to Bigger Than the Trail, a not-for-profit organization focused on mental wellness through outdoor running and hiking.  We can't wait to see every Falcon there to lift up our community and give back to a great organization in BTTT.  Link HERE to register!

Have a great weekend Falcons and be well!  See you all Monday!!
