School update

Hello Falcons!

Week 4 of our summer has been completed.  Our summer camps have been running along with our daycare ongoing at school.  We have been tracking the air quality alerts and we have been minimizing/monitoring our outside time for safety.   Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Our registration is online and will begin on July 10th.  If you are new to Fontana there will be a link "new student" that will send you to create a profile on Infinite Campus.  If you were in our district last school year you will just need to verify and update your existing information in Infinite Campus.  Cathy Long (clong@fontana.k12.wi.us) and Susan Ziganto (sziganto@fontana.k12.wi.us) will be your registration contacts!
  2. Alternate open enrollment begins tomorrow for any families that did not meet the deadline for the regular open enrollment period.  This time is available pending space in a particular grade/program.  For more information visit the following link or contact Wendy Schanau (wschanau@fontana.k12.wi.us) who is our open enrollment specialist.  https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enroll...
  3. We had another great program in partnership with the Fontana Public Library on Tuesday.  Little Miss Anne, a Chicago musician, wowed the children and guests with her talent.  We have had such a great turnout for our events on Tuesdays from 10-12p each week.  Reminder, there is NO programming this Tuesday, July 4th, in observation of the Holiday.  Students are still challenged to complete their 50 minutes of reading and 50 minutes of math.  Don't forget to document your progress for your weekly rewards.
  4. We are working hard to plan and organize our Summer School Bootcamp from July 31st through August 11th (10 days).  This will enhance math, reading, and fun before we head into our fall school year.  We will provide individualized instruction and support for all students to help school readiness along with continuing learning through the summer.  Please complete the one question survey HERE as soon as possible so we can properly plan our staffing/student needs.
  5. We have had increasing numbers each week in our Summer of Continuous Excellence programming.  This, along with our STEM activities have been very successful.  HERE is a link to our remaining summer plans. Please contact our office with any questions.  The summer Tuesday activities from 10-12p are open to community members and Falcons alike so bring a friend.

Have a great weekend Falcons and Happy 4th of July!!
