School update

Hello Falcons!!

We have completed week 20 of the school year.  It was roughly 60 degrees warmer today than it was less than a week ago.  Crazy weather is always a good reminder to be prepared for going outside for recess in different weather conditions.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. At our school board meeting on Monday the 24/25 school calendar was approved.  A copy of the new calendar is attached HERE.

  2. With the full winter season in full swing we tend to go in and out of different illnesses.  An attached reminder and health update is attached HEREfrom our district nurse, Julie Lohse.

  3. It's not too late to get your lane at the Winterfest PTSO fundraiser this Sunday at 10 Pin Pub in Walworth.  Link is HERE to reserve your spot.  Don't miss all the wonderful door prizes and silent auction items.

  4. We would like to send our best to Mrs. Brittany Martinez who has been our Spanish teacher the last 4 years.  She recently resigned and we thank her for her amazing 4 years to help build our foreign language and cultural programming.  For the remainder of the school year we will have our current long-term sub, Mrs. Kelli Augustson, stay in that position until the end of the school year.

  5. Our school community welcomed two new student teachers this week from UW-Whitewater.  First, in our music department, Tanner Engeseth will be student teaching with Mr. Smith.  Second, Esmeralda Santos will be student teaching with Mrs. Selvey in 4k.  As many of your know Esmeralda has been working in our daycare for the last 3 years while working on completing her teaching degree.

Have a great weekend Falcons and don't miss the girls and basketball action at St. Andrews as both teams are competing in the annual tournament hosted at St. Andrew's school in Delavan.
