Hello Falcons!!
Thank you to Sergeant Goetsch and the Fontana Police Department for another successful year of "Wise Choices" with our sixth grade students. They always enjoy celebrating their learning with a pizza party!! Week 34 was filled with learning, fun, and our first track meet! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Congratulations to our track team on their first meet at Harvard, IL on Wednesday. We had many great events with two first place finishes for our boys/girls teams. Our first place finishers were: Dylan G.-shotput, Owen G, Rydell, Finn T., Denton D-4x200 relay (SR), Stella C.-1600m (SR), and Morgan S., Sasha, Eve, Ada-800 Medley. Way to go team and don't forget to cheer on the Falcon track team on Monday at Big Foot High School at 4pm.
We are excited to once again offer our Summer School program this year. WHEN: July 28th through August 8th, Monday through Friday at Fontana School. Our summer school will be offered at NO COST to families. To register and for more information click the LINK HERE. You can reach out to Mrs. Jill Jackson with any questions (jill.jackson@fontana.k12.wi.us)
Don't miss our Fourth Annual Walk for Wellness on May 23rd. For more information and registration CLICK HERE. All money raised will support Bigger Than the Trail and Fontana Hope Squad! We look forward to all of our community partners in attendance to support awareness and resources in mental health and wellness.
As a reminder, as part of our attendance policy at Fontana you may be getting a letter from our social worker, assistant principal, or administrator depending on the number of absences. School attendance is one of the best predictors of success in learning and we send our letter to not only notify families of their attendance record, but to partner and ensure all students are learning at their highest level. Please reach out to Steve Torrez with any questions (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us).
We are entering the final week of the regular Open Enrollment window for the 25/26 school year. For more information on open enrollment CLICK HERE. Our school board goes through the approval process of all applications at our May school board meeting. Please reach out with any questions, visit requests, or general inquiries about Fontana School to Steve Torrez (storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us).
