OE 2025

Hello Falcons!!

We are officially in May, which is mental health awareness month. This is such a great time to reflect, focus, and spend some time on self-care. Spring provides a time to reignite our activity and opportunities to get outside!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Super Falcon DVDs are available for purchase starting next week! Take home the excitement and relive the hilarity as often as you'd like! The DVDs come with a Behind the Scenes look, Bloopers, Deleted Scenes, a Stunt Featurette, and more. They are $10 each OR you can get a DVD and a Super Falcon shirt (any size) for $20. Purchases can be made in the front office. All sales help Film Club continue making movies!

  2. Our 6th graders completed their week long outdoor education week!! What a wonderful week of learning, growing, and becoming closer as a group. A huge thank you to all of the sponsors, donors, families, and students for a successful week. Mrs. Rabe, Mr. Hoey, and Mrs. Sammons spend all year gearing up for this week and we cannot thank them enough for their commitment to a full week at camp with our 6th graders.

  3. We had three middle school students travel to Oconomowoc with Mrs. Jacoby for an amazing extension opportunity in Theatre Immersion. They had a unique chance to get up close and behind the scenes in theatre with students from across our region.

  4. Our 4K through 1st grade students had the exciting opportunity to take a field trip to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum this week! They had so much fun with all of the hands on learning opportunities. Thank you to our early childhood team for putting this together and to all of our parent chaperones! The parental involvement is amazing and never taken for granted. Thank you!

  5. The 8th graders were excited to have their annual train ride and museum experience in Chicago at the Chicago Art Museum this week. Thank you to our cultural arts committee for helping sponsor this field trip and offer a great experience in Chicago.

  6. BONUS--We will have our final round of benchmark I-Ready testing for our elementary students this coming week (May 6-8th). Our middle school will be testing the following week on May 14th and 15th.

  7. BONUS 2--We are so excited to offer another summer of academic learning and enrichment at Fontana School. This year there is no fee for summer school. Summer school will include an hour each of reading focus, math focus and enrichment. Please fill out the registration form HERE if your child will be attending. Thank you!

PTSO Spotlight--Next week is the official Teacher Appreciation Week.  As you know, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week in February since May is so busy for everyone.  We do, however, celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day (May 7th) with a lunch.  We are looking for volunteers to help.  Sign up HERE to help with the May 7th lunch. Lastly, the final PTSO meeting of the school year will be May 7th at 7pm at the school library.

Have a great weekend Falcons and see you all Monday!
