Hello Falcons!!
Week 2 of summer has been met with some serious heat!! Stay cool and don't forget the sunscreen Falcons! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
While our daycare is open all summer we did take two days this week for our staff to attend a professional development opportunity all together. This doesn't happen often, where all of the staff attend a training together, but the time spent was beneficial to continue to improve and expand in our early childhood programming. Thank you to all of our families for being flexible this week!
Don't miss the opportunity to attend Ecology Club's event this Tuesday, June 24th. Only five spots remain if you are planning to attend this amazing learning opportunity on the lake with the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency. SIGN UP BY CLICKING THE LINK HERE (open to all incoming 6-9th grade students)
Each Wednesday, weather permitting, our daycare students enjoy a day in the water doing fun activities on our playground. It's a special day that is celebrated by all to get out and enjoy some summer fun!!
This past week we had a great show on Tuesday with some crafts, a magician, and open gym for our community. Remember, each Tuesday starting at 9:15a we have activities, learning, and fun available for all. This is not limited to Fontana students so bring your friends. This Tuesday we have the Novel Motion Circus at 10a. For all things summer at Fontana visit our website and click Summer School 2025 for more information. LINK HERE
Thank you to all of our elementary teachers for spending a day this past week unpacking and organizing our new math curriculum. We are excited to jump into the Bridges Math programming this coming fall. So many districts, both local and nationally, have found great success and engagement through hands on, inquiry based math work. To learn more about Bridges you can visit their website HERE.
PTSO Spotlight--Thank you to our generous, supportive, tireless PTSO for another successful school year. We had celebrations, large and small events, fundraisers, fieldtrips, hot chocolate Friday's and sooooo much more. If you are interested in joining this amazing group (no amount of time is too big or too small to volunteer) please email our PTSO president Margaret Labus and she will get you on the email list ([email protected]).
Have a great weekend Falcons and stay cool!
