splash day FFD

Hello Falcons!

Hard to believe, but we have experienced week 10 of summer break! As of this week, we have finished our Falcon summer school, summer of excellence, and our partners at Big Foot Recreation have finished their summer camp. We are full steam ahead to the 25/26 school year, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the remaining days of summer break! Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Our open house/welcome back nights are as follows: 4k/5k student open house is Tuesday, August 26th (4-6:30p) and each teacher has a link to register a time to meet with them individually. Ms. Santos 4k LINK HERE Mrs. Palma's 5k LINK HERE and Ms. Paulson's 5k LINK HERE

  2. Our open house night for all 1st through 8th grade students will be Thursday, August 28th from 5-6:30p. Students can bring school supplies during the open house nights, meet your teachers, find your lockers and middle school students can practice their lock combination!

  3. Attention incoming 4th grade families and/orany student wanting to join band-- Ms. Jacoby is hosting an instrument fitting and rental night on Monday, August 18th in the Fontana Gym from 5pm-7pm, where all instruments will be available to try out and see what the best fit is for you. Breber Music will also be there to assist and provide the option of signing up for an instrument rental right away! Getting set up with an instrument before the school year starts will help tremendously once it does. Please fill out this brief RSVP HERE to let Ms. Jacoby know if you plan to attend.

  4. This Monday, August 18th our parking lot will be seal coated and painted for the new school year. Our parking lot will be unavailable for most of the week due to preparation, sealcoating, and drying. Please know that our sidewalks and access to the building is still available, but parking will need to be on the road in front of school through Wednesday, August 20th.

  5. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 2nd. Doors open for school at 8am and school starts at 8:15a. School dismissal is 3:30p. All middle school and older elementary students are picked up at the north end of the building and all early childhood (2nd grade and younger) are picked up on the south side of the parking lot. Please do NOT block the driveway next to our parking lot while waiting to pick up and know that once we get things running smoothly (about a week to calibrate) our line moves from beginning to end in about 6-8 minutes total.

Have a great weekend Falcons and enjoy the last two weeks of summer break! We still have a lot of summer with the Walworth County Fair and Labor Day weekend in front of us!!
