Hello Falcons!!
Week 9 Falcons! It doesn't seem possible, but we have completed our annual Fall Fun Fest extravaganza this past Thursday and Halloween is around the corner. Thank you to the amazing PTSO who planned, set up, worked, and took down all of the Fall Fun Fest activities and fundraising. Our parents put in an incredible amount of time and care into our school on a weekly basis and we are grateful for the teamwork! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Our 2nd and 3rd graders had a great time reading to the animals and Mainstay Farm in Richmond, IL. This is our third year doing Books in the Barnyard. What a great experience and partnership! Also thank you to Mark and Sarah Tauscher and the Trifecta Foundation for sponsoring our Books in the Barnyard experience!!
A huge thank you to the Fontana Garden Club for donating $1000 to our Outdoor Education program. Each year our 6th grade students attend a week long outdoor education camp at Conference Point in Williams Bay. This donation helps in supporting the lodging and week of activities. Thank you Fontana Garden Club for your continuous support!!
This coming Friday, October 31st, is our annual Halloween party for 4k-5th grade students. We have our traditional parade, with costumes, at 2pm through the school. Parents are welcome. For more information on our Halloween procedures CLICK HERE.
The Fontana PTSO is made up of parents who plan, support, and create a welcoming place for our entire community. They have fundraisers throughout the year, like Fall Fun Fest, and all of the money the PTSO raises goes right back to the students at Fontana for things like field trips and extra cultural learning opportunities. Thank you and any parent is welcome, no matter how much time you might have, and everyone make a difference together with our school team!
Congratulations to our volleyball team for an undefeated week against Walworth, Sharon and Reek!! Way to go girls. Don't miss the action this week when we take on Faith Christian on Monday October 27th at Fontana School. See you there!
