Hello Falcons!!
Hard to believe, but we are 13 weeks into the 25/26 school year! Our talented students took to the stage today to showcase their talents at our 4th annual Talent Show! Our students inspire us every day with their courage, bravery, and effort. In Theodore Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" speech he states the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood.....who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement! As a Fontana community, we are fortunate to have such brave students "in the arena" modeling this for us each day! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We have had two amazing Podcasting/Storytelling groups this month! Our next meeting is Tuesday, December 2nd from 3:30p to 5p at the Fontana Library. This is open to our entire community for those 5th grade through 100 years old. Please contact Steve Torrez at [email protected] if interested or with any questions.
Don't forget, winter is upon us and we go outside daily unless it is raining or below zero. Some general winter weather guidelines are LINKED HERE. Please contact Mrs. McGuire, our school social worker, if you are in need of any winter weather clothing.
This coming week is Thanksgiving week. Our school will be closed Wednesday November 26th, 27th and 28th. We will return to school on Monday, December 1st. We are grateful for our school community and enjoy the extended break!
We are excited to once again participate in the HUNT OFF HUNGER contest. If you haven't noticed, there are two bins in the front entry where we will be collecting nonperishable food through December 10th. Our Big Foot Area Schools will compete against Delavan, Lake Geneva, and Elkhorn. We have won the contest the last two years by collecting the most food in the area! Let's keep this up and bring in those food items to support the Walworth Food Pantry during this winter season!!

PTSO SPOTLIGHT--Our winter concert is fast approaching (December 11th). Our PTSO will once again support a Poinsettia Sale (information below with more details).
