crafty critters

Hello Falcons!!

Week 15 has us inching closer to 2026 with November now in the rear view mirror. We had our annual Crafty Critters sign up for all 4k-5th grade students. This holiday tradition provides our middle school students with opportunities to lead and support our elementary students through different stations for building crafts, which they will complete next Friday. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Great job and thank you to all of the families that have already donated to our "HUNT OFF HUNGER" food drive in partnership with the Wisconsin DNR and the Big Foot Area Schools. We have a great start and we will be extending the deadline to Tuesday December 9th. Let's HUNT OFF HUNGER together this holiday season!

  2. With winter here please be sure your Falcon is dressed and ready for all weather. Additionally, it is cold and flu season so be mindful of handwashing and self-care. Students with fevers should be fever free (without medication) for at least 24 hours before coming to school. Thank you and be well Falcons!

  3. With more car riders in the winter months our pick up and drop off lines can get long. Please be sure to pull up along the curb as far as you can to allow for more cars to pull in off the road. We want to allow for as many cars in the line as possible.

  4. "Get ready to be amazed by the incredible talent of our youngest students"! Our 4K through 3rd grade performers are preparing for the winter concert! This is one show you won't want to miss on Thursday December 11th at the Big Foot High School Auditorium. Students arrive at 5:40p and the winter concert will begin at 6p. A special note for our performers' families: All students should wear something nice for the performance. Students in 1st-3rd grade will have a special penguin costume prop to enhance their set! Please ensure students arrive at 5:40 in the auditorium so we can get them ready!

  5. All 4k-5th grade parents be on the look out for first trimester report cards.  We will be mailing home report cards for all elementary students early next week.  Also, our office will be sending out any attendance letters to those students that have missed 5 or more days this school year. The attendance letters are a requirement and something to help us track chronic absenteeism.  Please contact Steve Torrez at [email protected] with any questions.

  6. BONUS--Congratulations to our Falcon Early Childhood Center for taking 1st place in the "Best of Walworth County" in the daycare category.  This is such an honor and a testament to the hard work by our staff and amazing families we get to work with each day!

  7. PTSO Spotlight--This past Friday the 4k-5th grade students selected the Crafty Critters projects and now we need YOUR help to make this annual event a success! Please consider signing up to help the kids work on their homemade crafts next Friday 12/12 from 1:15-3pm. We still need LOTS of helpers so please consider signing up! Have a great weekend Falcons and see you all Monday!!
