Hello Falcons!!
Week 18 was our first week of winter break! We are grateful for an amazing 2025 Fontana and can't wait for an incredible 2026!! The end of the calendar year is a time for reflection. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We achieved our highest school report card in the last 8 years (81.8) and second highest score in the last 12 years.
In 2025 we won "Best of Lake Geneva" for Best Elementary School and "Best of Walworth County" for Best Daycare in 2025.
Our staff and students have achieved four years of continuous growth in our student learning data as reported in our school report card growth scores, meets/exceeds achievement, and our aggregate IReady benchmark scores. We continue to focus on GROWTH for ALL students in learning and achievement.
Our staff have worked hard to find alternate funding to support our priorities this past year. We were awarded $20,000 from the Lion's Club to support our outdoor classroom project. We have secured alternate funding in many areas including a $44,000 cybersecurity grant, along with $6000 from the Abbey, $3000 for Fontana Garden Club and many more smaller grants to support programs such as Hope Squad. We are grateful for all of the community partners, support, and partnerships and look forward to expanding these opportunities in 2026!
The strategic goals for Fontana continue to guide our work and decision making. Our four pillars/goals are a Focus on Academic Success for ALL student, Attracting and Retaining High Quality Staff, Effective Collaboration and Communication with our Community, and being Fiscally Responsible. Have a great second week of winter break and see everyone on Monday, January 5th. Our main office will be closed this week, but our daycare is open on December 29, 30, and January 2nd. Happy New Year!
