school board

Hello Falcons!!

Week 19 has welcomed 2026 to our school year. We are grateful for our school family, including our amazing school board. They are the support, many times behind the scenes, that prioritize student learning, high quality staff, and fiscal responsibility. We are excited to continue this trajectory into the new year and beyond. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Our winter break has come to an end. School resumes this Monday, January 5th. We can't wait to see you there!!

  2. Our girls middle school basketball season starts this coming Tuesday, January 6th. If you haven't already, please see Mr. Hoey, Ms. Breckon, or Mrs. Rabe if you are interested in playing this season.

  3. Looking ahead, don't miss our winter band/choir concert on January 15th, starting at 6pm. We will once again host our annual concert at Big Foot High School. The students are excited to showcase their talents and hard work so far this year.

  4. When you come into the school you will notice some additions to our walls in the lobby. We have added our WINGS OF DISTINCTION walls where we will honor, recognize, and celebrate current and former Fontana students and all of their accomplishments. You can nominate EXCELLENCE TO SELF, OTHERS, AND/OR COMMUNITY by completing our nomination form HERE.

  5. Fontana is HIRING--We are hiring a toddler/daycare staff member. This position will be a full-time position, including benefits. Please reach out to Emma Peiffer or Steve Torrez with interest and/or questions. Be a part of a team that cares for each other and every student and 2025 winners of Best of Walworth County.

  6. PTSO Spotlight--Thank you to our amazing PTSO for your support in 2025. We had student field trips, activities, crafts, parties and so much more because of your generosity. We are grateful to have such a caring and supportive parent group and look forward to even more amazing activities in 2026!

Have a great first weekend of 2026 and see you all Monday Falcons!
