Hello Falcons!!
Winter decided to jump back into the scene in week 21 of the school year after a day that nearly hit 50 degrees. There are many reasons we all love Wisconsin, but I don't know how many would admit the inconsistent winter weather is one of those many reasons!! Please remember to have your Falcon dressed for all weather as we go outside as long as the "feels like" temperature is above zero and it is not raining. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Congratulations to Devin Dennis on winning our Service Above Self Rotary Award for the 25/26 school year. Each year our staff, and now community, nominate one of our staff members for providing service above self. Devin was nominated and won this year as she has taken on new roles with instructional coaching in addition to completing changing her role to be our 2nd grade teacher the remainder of this school year. There were many amazing nominees and congratulations to all for providing service above self to our school.
We have many wonderful supports and community partnerships that support our school. A LINK HERE is provided by our school social worker for updates and news on all things wellness.
REMINDER--NO school for students on Friday, January 23rd for our full day staff inservice. Our daycare is also closed to allow our staff to collaborate, plan, and support our continuous learning goals.
Great job to our band and choir students for an inspiring performance on Thursday. They sounded great and presented themselves with class. Well done. Additional thank you to our parents and volunteers for another successful bake sale. We are counting up our totals and we will be applying all donations to improve the sound in our gym/stage area. Thank you.
Our students, parents, and community were all contributors to our annual Kindness Week. The week was complete on Friday with hot fudge sundaes, popsicles, and ice cream. Thank you!
BONUS--Don't miss an opportunity to come by the Fontana library on January 20th to meet the new library director while also checking in with what is happening at our school/community. I look forward to seeing you there. We will be there with coffee starting at 11a until 1p.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and see you Monday for another great week of school!!
