Hello Falcons!!
We hope all families had a safe week as there were plenty of storms and some flooding in different areas. Through week 34 of the school year and excited to see some spring in the air!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Our 3r-8th grade students did a wonderful job giving their best and completing the FORWARD test this past week. The WI FORWARD test is a major portion of our school report card. Our primary focus, for EVERY STUDENT, is growth and continuous improvement.
Our 5th Annual Walk for Wellness will be May 22nd from 12p-3p at Duck Pond. We added some extra fun this year and our walk/run will be a "Color Run" so bring your white shirt and be prepared to get colorful! All proceeds directly support our schools mental health programming, including HOPE SQUAD.
The Fontana Film Club Premiere of MODZILLA is just ONE WEEK AWAY! The first show is Friday, April 24th at 7pm the second showing is Saturday, April 24th at 2pm.Come experience the magic of movies and enjoy delicious popcorn and other refreshments as you laugh and gasp at the humor and thrills of our latest feature! Admission is free and so is the popcorn! Lots of other goodies and drinks will be available to purchase with cash. All proceeds will help support the Fontana Film Club, and their future movie endeavors!
Our 4th and 5th graders had a great first week of intramural basketball this past week. It is fun to watch our entire school get involved as our middle school students help coach and our staff help referee! This coming week will be our last week of intramural basketball. See you there!
Some fun field trips coming up this week including our 8th graders leaving for Washington DC on 4/22, our 4/5th grade students will be going to the Capital in Madison on 4/22 and our first track meet of the year will be on 4/21 at Delavan High School.
BONUS--Our annual 4k/5k screening and play day will be on 4/22 from 10-11a. This is for any student that will be attending 4k or 5k in the fall that is not already attending Fontana School.
