earth day

Hello Falcons!!

If you can believe it, we just completed our last full week in April!! As things fly by please be sure to visit our social media pages, website, and watch for updates regarding all the great things happening the remainder of the year. You can find so much on our website by CLICKING HERE as well. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. As our season shifts to spring we have noticed there are already ticks alive and well. Please be sure to check your children for ticks as they are outside each day and there are reports of some being found already this year. We do have services that help keep our tick problems as low as possible, but please keep an eye out.

  2. Our entire school get excited, but especially our 6th graders for the upcoming week as they head off to the 66th edition of Outdoor Education!! Our 6th graders spend the entire week, device free, exploring the outdoors, learning, and expanding their understanding of themselves in the process. When alumni are asked to bring up a memory of Fontana there is almost always one story about outdoor education!! Have fun 6th grade!!

  3. Don't miss MODZILLA our newest Fontana Film release. Our movie premiere will be this Friday at 7p and Saturday at 2pm in our Fontana gym. You won't want to miss this sequel to the award winning Klay Kong!! See you tonight and tomorrow Falcons! All community members are welcome and admittance is free. There will be concessions available for purchase and all proceeds from concessions will support our film club into the future!!

  4. We had a busy week of field trips including our annual 8th grade trip to Washington DC. Our 4th and 5th graders also went to the Capital in Madison Wisconsin. So much learning and excitement happening well beyond the walls of our school!

  5. Thank you to all of the families that attended our 4k/5k screening this past week. We were able to meet some new and some daycare families for some snacks, play, and information about our school. If you are interested in Fontana there is still plenty of time to reach out and connect with our team. Please contact Taylor Jewell at [email protected] for more information.

  6. BONUS--The Open Enrollment window for next school year will be closing soon. Open Enrollment for the 26/27 school year will be closing on April 30th. Our school board will then vote on those applications at our May school board meeting. Please connect with Wendy Schanau at [email protected] for more information.

Have a great weekend Falcons and don't miss our world famous movie premiere going on Friday at 7p and Saturday at 2p.
