Rotary honor ceremony

Hello Falcons!!

Our first full week of May is in the books and was filled with learning and rewarding experiences. Congratulations to the Falcon graduating seniors: Katelyn, Ava, Kate, Sophia, Allie, Ben and Luca on their Rotary Diploma Endorsement accomplishment this past week for excellence to Self, Others and Community. Way to go!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Thank you to Sergeant Goetsch and the Fontana Police Department for spending the week with our 6th graders teaching about WISE CHOICES. This includes internet and social media safety.

  2. This week celebrates teacher/staff appreciation for all educators. We are so thankful for the dedicated and amazing staff we have at Fontana that go above and beyond each day. Additionally, thank you to all of our parents and PTSO members that are so supportive of our staff, students and school overall.

  3. Don't miss our 5th annual Walk for Wellness on May 22nd from 12-3pm at Duck Pond. This annual event focused on mental health awareness has been a successful fundraiser to support ongoing mental health services. This year we are proud to partner with Walworth School to raise funds for each schools Hope Squad and other supportive programming for students. REGISTER HERE

  4. Don't miss the 4th-8th grade spring concert on Tuesday, May 12th at 6pm. Enjoy some music from our choir and band students to celebrate our spring season!!

  5. The American Legion Auxiliary recently invited Fontana to participate in the "Poppy Poster Contest". The contest prompts students to create artwork that features the red poppy flower, a symbol honoring fallen military personnel. The local American Legion selected contestants from Reek and Fontana to have their artwork sent to our state representative! Congratulations to Ruby in 5th Grade, Michael in 2nd Grade, and Eve in 7th grade! Other student artwork is scheduled to hang on display at Daniels in Walworth. Congratulations to our Falcon artists for sharing their talents and honoring our military heroes.

Have a great weekend Falcons and see you all Monday!!
