fontana garden club

Hello Falcons!!

We completed our benchmark testing this past week for spring. This measures student growth in math and reading while informing our instructional strategies. Special thank you to the Fontana Garden Club for inviting our 6th graders to perform their OE skit. The Garden Club is a huge support to our school and outdoor education each year. Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. We are excited to offer another great summer learning opportunity at Fontana School! Students will participate each day in math, reading, and engaging enrichment activities, with a variety of enrichment options available for students to choose from on the first day based on their interests. These activities are designed to make summer learning fun, meaningful, and engaging for all participants. To help students get the greatest benefit from the program, families are encouraged to commit to full attendance for the entire two-week session.

  2. Fontana’s 2026 Summer Coaching Program is now open! Last summer, we piloted this program with a small group of students, and participants showed growth in reading, math, and social-emotional skills while also building strong, supportive relationships with staff. Based on this success, we are excited to expand the opportunity and open it to all families. For more information please visit our website by CLICKING HERE.

  3. Don't miss our 5th Annual Walk for Wellness next Friday, May 22nd from 12p to 3p at Duck Pond. We are excited to partner with Walworth School this year to raise money for our school wide mental health initiatives such as Hope Squad!! You can register and/or donate by CLICKING THE LINK HERE.

  4. Congratulations to all of our track athletes on a terrific season!! We had 29 participants this year and they all improved each week. We had many athletes produce state qualifying times as well!!

  5. This Friday, May 22nd, is an early release day for all 4k-8th grade students. We will release at at 11:45a for staff inservice and mental health awareness at our walk for wellness.

Have a great weekend Falcons and see you Monday!
