Hello Falcons!!
We have completed 10 weeks of summer and still going strong with all of our summer programming, including our first full week of summer school. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We are proud to have our Fontana Ecology Club partnering again with the Geneva Lakes Environmental Agency (GLEA). They once again completed some testing and spent time with the GLEA and DNR studying the habitats and plant/animal health in Geneva Lake. We are proud of our Falcons for taking interest and accountability for the health of our lakes area.
Thank you again to all of our families for taking the extra time to register your Falcon for the upcoming school year. Don't forget, your infinite campus portal will not only act as your registration link, but you can also pay school fees and add money to your lunch/milk account.
Great job by all in our first week of summer school. We had nearly 40 students attend this week and engaged in learning along with extended fun/engaging activities outside the classroom. See you back Monday for more fun and learning. We are grateful for all the staff that planned and created learning opportunities for the summer along with parents/families taking the time to come in over the summer.
Did you know, we have also seen great connections and learning all summer during our summer coaching sessions and our weekly Summer of Excellence every Tuesday. We have had nearly 70 students take advantage of our summer coaching in addition to our partnership with the Fontana Library and Big Foot Recreation every Tuesday. Our staff have put together an amazing opportunity to reward math/reading while on summer break and our open gym continues to see more and more people taking advantage of some exercise/physical activity.
DATES to KNOW: Back to school nights: 4k/5k is Tuesday, August 25th from 3:30p to 6:30p. 4k/5k teachers will schedule opportunities to meet and connect individually as needed. Thursday, August 27th will be our back to school night for all 1-8th grade students from 5-6:30p. Please reach out to our office if you cannot make those days/times or if you need some additional support prior to our first day of school. First Day of School is Tuesday, September 1st. Doors open at 8am, school starts at 8:15a, and dismissal is 3:30p.
