Hello Falcons!!
We have now come to the final week of summer break before our new school year begins. There are new outfits to pick out, alarms to set, and night/morning routines to reestablish. While we can't wait to have everyone back we also know how important it is to enjoy every minute of summer. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
At our last school board meeting we honored Mrs. Nina Reckamp for her 9 years of service to our district as our school board vice president. During her time on the board we navigated COVID successfully, completed much needed construction projects such as a secure entrance, and opened a daycare to name a few. Thank you for your service and continued support to Fontana!!
Our district and school board also recognized the staff in our Falcon Early Childhood Center. This month marks the 6th year anniversary of our daycare where we have increased our enrollment, staff, and community involvement each year. We were honored to win "Best of Walworth County" in 2025 thanks to our incredible community. Thank you to our amazing staff and support of our school board as we look forward to many more years.
The 4k/5k open house is this Tuesday, August 25th from 3-6:30p. Our 4k/5k team has reached out to each family to set up individual meetings with each family. If you haven't heard from your teacher please contact our office to get your meeting set up.
The 1st -8th grade open house is Thursday, August 27th from 5-6:30p. Come meet your teacher, drop off supplies, and take a look around the school. See you soon!
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st. Doors open at 8am and school starts at 8:15a. Dismissal is 3:30p. Reminder, please pull up as far as you can during dismissal as the pick up line can get long. Also, the pick up line is one way, and goes North to South. The middle school students are at the North end of the building and our youngest Falcons are at the far South end of the building.
BONUS--Fontana Film Club is excited to announce the next movie,
The Phantom of Fontana
! Rumors are swirling about a strange someone or something lurking within the shadows of the school... Can the Fontana students work together to save the talent show from the phantom before it's too late?! 6th-8th grade students are invited to audition for the main cast on September 3rd after school.
