Hello Falcons!!
What a week it's been!! From carnivals to cross country meets, volleyball, and fire prevention activities it was something to behold!! Thank you for Mrs. Rabe for all of her behind the scenes work to not only coordinate our fire prevention day with the fire department, but for months of planning with Yerkes and Dr. Barlow to create an amazing day of science exploration for our entire school. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
We are so grateful for our close partnership with the Fontana Fire Department. They continually go out of their way to make our school, students, and community feel safe and valued. Thank you for another great day of fire education, hands on experiences, and fun for all ages!
Great job to our volleyball and cross country teams on a successful week of competition. It is fun to see the fans and student section growing with each season.
An ENORMOUS thank you to children, parents, and staff who participated in film club's Young Actors Day event! It was our biggest turnout yet, and our amazing families generously lent their time and acting skills to our upcoming production of The Phantom of Fontana. Mr. McCanna is incredibly grateful to our Falcon community!
Thank you to Dr. Barlow, Yerkes Observatory, the Harlow Shapely Lecture Series, and all of the amazing volunteers that made our Cosmic Carnival a super success!!! Our students were curious and asked great questions all day.
Our second graders had a great time at MainStay Farm reading to the animals, learning about the farm, and working together to create fun literacy activities with animals. Way to go and thank you MainStay.
REMINDER--Friday, October 16th is our half-day inservice. All 4k-8th grade students are dismissed at 11:45a. Additionally, we would like to invite all of our parents to join us for our inservice from 12:30p to 3:30p with our partners at Motion of Gratitude to learn about self-care and self-regulation strategies. PTSO Bonus--Deadline to bring things in is next Wednesday 10/14 and PTSO will be wrapping up the baskets on Friday morning 10/16. People can SIGNUP to help wrap the baskets and for all the other FFF volunteer ACTIVITIES HERE.
DAYCARE Bonus--We would like welcome our newest staff member Mackenzie Long to our 2k room!!
