Hello Falcons!!
This week we officially ushered in fall with our annual PTSO sponsored Fall Fun Fest. We had our first ever double haunted house and so much more. Thank you so much to all of our parents and volunteers that contributed to our full week of Halloween fun! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
Our 4k/5k students had a great field trip to Busy Barns exploring the farm and picking out pumpkins!! It was great to have so many parents and family members attend with our group. Thank you.
A reminder, you can pay for your school fees, milk break, and your lunch account in your parent Infinite Campus portal. The registration fees are separate from other daily fees and you can check your status in your portal as well. Thank you and please contact our office with any questions.
Congratulations to our volleyball 8th grade team that finished the conference regular season undefeated. Our 6/7th grade team also had a very successful season. We have one more "non-conference" game against Faith on Monday at Faith Christian.
Looking ahead, out parent/teacher conferences are November 5th and 6th. Our goal, as a school, is making 100% connection with our families to update each students learning thus far. Please contact your teacher, if you haven't already, to set up a time that works for you. Be sure to schedule with our specials teachers as well!
Our elementary students did a great job completing benchmark testing this week. We use benchmark testing in reading and math to track progress, adjust our teaching, and individualize student learning paths. All grades have a "What I Need" (WIN) time where we offer more individualized instruction based on identified areas of growth.
DAYCARE--Reminder--Our first professional development day for daycare staff will be Friday, November 6th. Our daycare, and school, will dismiss at 11:45a.
PTSO--Thank you again to all of our parents and volunteers who made our Fall Fun Fest a great success! The Fontana PD and Fire Department were also an amazing addition to the evening, including the judges for the annual costume contest!! A true community event we are grateful to host each year. Thank you.
BONUS--On Tuesday, October 27th, our middle school will have a college visit at Gateway and our 4th graders will experience an opera in Grayslake. Great experiences inside and outside the classroom for our students.
Have a great weekend Falcons and Go Brewers!! See you Monday.
