Hello Falcons!!
While this may be one of the better fall weather months in a long time it doesn’t compare to the roar of the entire state of Wisconsin when the Milwaukee Brewers won their first ever World Series!! Whether you cheer for the Brewers or against them most of the year it was so much fun to see the collective enjoyment that was electric for the last month!! Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Our middle school students had a great college/career experience on their field trip to Gateway Tech this past week. They not only participated in hands on learning activities they also got to explore different pathways to careers that Gateway has to offer! Thank you to our middle school team and Mrs. McGuire for coordinating this great extended learning opportunity!
- Parent teacher conferences are this week. Thursday, November 5th from 4-8pm and Friday, November 6th from 12:30p to 4p. Please contact your teacher to coordinate a time if you haven’t already heard from our team. Our goal in round one of conferences is 100% contact with our families!!
- If you haven’t already, go to the Google Play or Apple App Store and download the Fontana J8 School District App. You will have access to all of our socials, website and lunch menu to name a few things. Additionally, we are finalizing a more comprehensive communication system that will be accessible in the Fontana App for students, parents and staff all in one location. More to come, but for now, get the app and start getting used to the functions there!
- Congratulations to our girls volleyball team as they won their fourth consecutive championship this past Thursday! What’s even more incredible is their commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork! Way to go Falcons!
- Thank you to the Lake Geneva Lyric Opera for sponsoring a unique experience for our 4th graders this week, they sponsored a field trip to the Grayslake Opera where our students had the experience of a one of a kind performance!
- DAYCARE—Reminder, our daycare will also have an early release this Friday at 11:45a. Thank you to all of our families for your flexibility as professional development time is difficult during the work week with our busy weekly schedule. This half day allows our entire team the opportunity to collaborate more effectively. Thank you!
Have a great weekend Falcons and see you all Monday!!
