School update

Hello Falcons!!

Week two of school was filled with beautiful weather, students jumping head first into learning, and our 4th grade students beginning their journey into band.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Picture day for all students is set for September 14th.  Order forms went home this week and there will be online ordering options.
  2. We are excited to implement the "Falcon Way" this school year.  This is our way of teaching behavior expectations in all areas of our building.  We expect EXCELLENCE to self, others, and out community.  HERE is a link to our behavior matrix.
  3. Our band and choir programs are expanding and including more exciting opportunities.  In band students will now be able to play instruments from 4-8th grade.   Our band has also expanded to offer jazz band in addition to regular band in middle school.  For choir, we have added a 4/5 grade choir and more opportunities for lessons all around.
  4. As a reminder, if you are or your child are not feeling well, please use caution and stay home, especially with COVID like symptoms such as congestion, fever, and cough.  We still have our COVID hotline to call to report any illness: COVID Hotline: (608) 728-7851
  5. We are excited to welcome three student teachers this semester.  Ms. Yari Lasonta is with our Spanish and 5th grade, Ms. Katie Castoro with middle school science, and Mr. Nathan Eishied in kindergarten.  We are fortunate to have such great student teachers to support our learning this semester!

Have a great weekend and see you all Monday for our first full week of school!!
