Team building

Hello Falcons!!

Week 6 has welcomed our volleyball team and robotics teams into action.  Also, congratulations to our cross country and flag football teams for a great season.  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up and be on the lookout from your child(s) teacher for sign-up opportunities.  Details: P/T conferences will be October 21st (4-8pm) and 28th (12-4pm).  All middle school conferences will be virtual and the elementary team (4k-5) will offer conferences in person on the 21st and virtually on the 28th.  Specials will offer a sign up for meetings during conferences.
  2. Our leadership student group has named themselves "The Influencers".  This is a collaboration of our student council and National Junior Honor Society.  They are supporting local families for the 2021-2022 school year with a Penny War Fundraiser. Our group will be partnering with the organization Lasagna Love. Lasagna Love is a nationwide grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors through homemade meal delivery. We also seek to eliminate stigmas associated with asking for help—especially from moms— when it is needed most. Lasagna Love's mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities.
  3. We are excited to welcome our new speech/language pathologist, Jill Jackson, to the Falcon team.  She will be reaching out to all students who receive speech services in the next week.  Welcome letter: file:///C:/Users/storrez/Downloads/Introductory%20Letter.pdf
  4. This week is School Board Appreciation Week.  On behalf of our school and community, please share in our sincere gratitude for their hard work, dedication, and love of our school district.  Thank you Tom Labus (President), Nina Reckamp(Vice-President), Rachael Clausius, Scott Vilona(Clerk), and Matt Preussing for your countless hours and time committed to our school district.
  5. Our school year and continued focus on wellness requires all of us.  Our school year will be most successful with our entire school community pulling/pushing/moving in the same direction.  If you have any questions, concerns, or if you need clarification, please don't hesitate to contact our administrative office (Steve Torrez, storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us and Mark Wenzel, mwenzel@fontana.k12.wi.us)

We understand that Halloween is coming up soon.  Please know our staff are working on plans to allow for fun, safety, and inclusion for our students during that time.  We will be sharing more details as we get further closure on planning.  Have a great weekend Falcons!
