School update

Hello Falcons!

What a return from winter break.  There is no doubt it feels like winter around here.  Our students have had fun sledding, playing in the snow, and getting back to friends at school.  The included photo is some of our daycare participants/staff.  They are such a welcomed and vital part of our school community!!  Welcome back everyone!  Here are FIVE things to know this week:

  1. Please know as the weather changes we will do everything we can to communicate and push out any updates.  If the temperature is below zero (actual and/or windchill) our recess is indoor.  If the weather is not safe for school attendance we will communicate any changes through text, email, social media, and our website.  If you are not getting mass communication updates please contact our office to get updated.
  2. Our newest social work newsletter is attached HERE.  We have many resources, support systems, and programs available to parents, students, and staff in our school community.  We are a team and look forward to working with each and every person in our community to ensure we all succeed!
  3. As many have heard, the CDC has updated guidance on quarantine and isolation timelines.  Our school, along with all Big Foot Area Schools, met and updated our protocol to more closely follow CDC guidance.  Please read our updated protocols HERE for quarantine and isolation requirements.  We look forward to working with all families on this new timeline.  As always, reach out to our office, health office, and/or administration with any questions.
  4. Additionally, we are excited to partner with Big Foot and Walworth to offer a "Test to Stay" option for those that are considered a close contact of COVID.  Please read the updated options for "Test to Stay" HERE.
  5. Looking ahead, Wednesday, February 2nd, is a full-day staff in-service day with no student attendance (4k-8th grade).  Our daycare (3k and younger) will be open as usual that day.

Happy New Year Falcons and have a great weekend.
