Hello Falcons!!
Week three of summer and we are in full 22/23 planning mode! Our daycare and Big Foot recreation summer camp continue to provide top quality programs for families each day. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Reminder, our Falcon summer school is starting July 5th. The first week will be Tuesday through Friday due to the 4th of July Holiday, but the remaining summer school will be Monday through Thursday from 9-12p each day. Click here for a registration packet that provides all the information needed.
- You may have noticed, but our South playground is getting some additional turf for our younger Falcons. This project, and a fence will be going in this summer for extra student play areas.
- During the summer months our Mrs. Bagby (band) and Mr. Smith (music) are providing lessons to many of our students each week. We are thankful to have extension activities at our school while on summer break.
- We are excited to welcome back our students and families in the fall to some new flooring and upgrades to continue to bring our school into the 21st century. Our Fab Lab will also continue to expand the technology offerings this fall including more 3D printers and partnerships with outside agencies.
- We continue to learn about our new solar panels and all they have to offer our students and school community. Our first monthly report for May states we produced 937.2 kWh of energy, which has a carbon offset equivalent of 1,428lb or 17 trees worth of production. We look forward to engaging our school community in green energy ideas in the future.
