Hello Falcons!!
Week 6 of summer is here and gone. We continue to close out the last school year while planning and preparing for the new 22/23 school year! We are excited to keep our school busy with summer school, daycare, and the Big Foot Recreation camp bringing in more than 100 students a day to use our facilities. Here are FIVE things to know this week:
- Did you know that our school staff are quite busy in the summer. In the past month we have had staff teaching summer school, setting up registration, purchasing equipment for next year, and attending multiple trainings on literacy, reading, and learning. Teachers and school staff are continuously busy making sure we provide the best education possible at Fontana!
- Online registration opened this past Monday. Thank you to all the families that have already completed their paperwork. Our registration online portal will be open through July 22nd. Please contact Mrs. Ziganto or Mrs. Long with any questions. The link on our website for registration is HERE.
- Most of our classrooms have been given a wonderful upgrade this summer with new flooring and paint. We are excited to share our freshly updates rooms when school begins.
- We are finalizing our fall sports schedule now. Linked HERE is the Cross Country practice and meet schedule. Please note that Cross Country will wrap up in time for students to participate in other fall sports so don't hesitate to take on some running this year for boys and girls!
- Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) today announced the state is ready for the July 16, 2022, transition to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The new calling code of 988 will allow people of all ages who are experiencing a crisis to get help for themselves or a loved one by connecting them with a trained crisis counselor. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a free and confidential service that is available 24/7, and anyone can access the Lifeline by calling 988 (multiple languages available), texting a message to 988 (English only), or using the chat feature at 988lifeline.org (English only).
