Dear Families, Governor Tony Evers has issued a statewide closure of all schools in Wisconsin. We will close after school on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 and tentatively reopen on April 6, 2020. The closure will include cancellation of all school related activities and childcare. Teachers will be sending information for virtual learning, and some may send paper work as well. The Department of Public Instruction is working on guidance for schools, and it remains unclear if there will be any lost instructional days forgiven by the state. More information will be made available as soon as updates are received. Please call our office or contact administration with any questions/concerns. Respectfully, Mark Wenzel, Administrator mwenzel@fontana.k12.wi.us Steve Torrez, Principal storrez@fontana.k12.wi.us

Hello parents. Fontana Joint 8 School District is working with all local health agencies and continually reviewing information regarding COVID-19. We will be taking a proactive approach during this time and we will cancel all field trips and activities outside of Fontana until further notice. We will revisit our plans and activities on a continuous basis and we will keep everyone informed as information becomes available through local and federal health agencies.

Welcome back!
Hello Fontana families. We have worked with WE Energies, Fontana Fire and Police, and our community overall to ensure the safety of our students/school. The Fire Department has been through the building three different times today and our building is safe to resume classes tomorrow (3/12/20). We will collaboratively walk the building with Fontana Fire again before 7am to ensure all is well. Despite the circumstances, it was a true community response and we are proud of our students, staff, and community! Thank you.

All of our students worked on a kindness art project that allowed them to express their individual thoughts in a small group format where they shared ceiling tiles with peers. Thank you to our Cultural Arts committee for supporting this project, our custodians for putting up all the tiles and our art program for their innovation! Our art hallway looks amazing!! #FontanaPride #FlyIntoSuccess
