Important changes to Campus Portal.
Campus Portal will be removed on June 30, 2019 and replaced with Campus Student and Campus Parent.
What does this mean for Campus Portal (Web)?
Campus Portal will be replaced with Campus Student and Campus Parent. Your Portal login page URL will stay the same. However, we will be adding two buttons with links to Campus Student and Campus Parent.
What does this mean for the Campus App?
Campus Student and Campus Parent will replace our old app, Campus Mobile Portal. (Those using the old app have seen this message for months: “This app will be retiring soon. Download your new Infinite Campus App: Campus Student or Campus Parent."). Campus Mobile Portal will be removed from the app store June 30, 2019. All app users will need to download Campus Parent or Campus Student.

Drop off/pick up reminder: Please remember that stopping for people in a crosswalk is not only state law but also necessary for the lives and safety of our students, staff, parents, and visitors. Also, drive slowly so that you can see if anyone is stepping out into traffic to stop a child from darting or chasing down a fly-away permission slip. SAFETY FIRST!

Today we are getting electrical updates for our new front doors. When complete, there will be a new camera and buzzer located on the exterior of the building, and both doors will open after folks are buzzed in. This safety update was paid for by the Department of Justice's school safety grant Fontana J8 received last year.

Preschool enrollment: It's never too early to register for Preschool! If you are interested in learning more about our three-year old Preschool program please call 262-275-6881 ext 218 or email Mrs. Nelson at ANelson@fontana.k12.wi.us to schedule a tour. Additional information can be found at our website www.Fontana.k12.wi.us. We still have space available for fall.


On Friday May 3rd, all four/five year old children who are not currently enrolled in kindergarten classes at Fontana School are invited to participate in our upcoming Kindergarten screening.The screening will take part as a play based format during a 1.5-hour block. Parents should call Fontana School at 262-275-6881 to schedule their appointment time with Mrs. Ziganto. We will need parent(s) name, child’s name, birthdate, mailing address, street address, and phone number to mail screening packets to you.


The two finalists for the new principal position will be available to meet and greet as well as answer questions posed by the audience next week. Meet Mr. Steve Torrez on Tuesday, April 9, at 6 p.m. in the school's Library Media Center, and Ms. Sara Lindh on Wednesday, April 10, also at 6 p.m. in the LMC. The April PTSO meeting will follow Ms. Lindh's session on Wednesday.

Fontana School is proud to announce Grace Hanson's Southern Lakes Anthology Illustrated Writing piece, 'Hidden Forests' was chosen to be read aloud at the Southern Lakes Anthology Reception. Grace, an 8th grader, will read her piece on May 21 at the reception which is held at UW-Whitewater. Each year, approximately 700 pieces from students in 3rd-8th grade are submitted from districts in the southern part of the state. Congratulations Grace. Fontana is very proud of you!


We are so happy to say that Mrs. McGoey has returned to school! Since she is still getting back into the swing of things, Mrs. McGoey will be moving into the position that was opened when Mrs. Reinholz resigned last December. Ms. Weiler will remain the 3rd grade teacher and continue the great progress the class is making this year. The team is excited about working together to finish the school year strong. Welcome back, Mrs. McGoey!!

8th Grade Promotion Rescheduled
Due to the number of days school has been canceled because of inclement weather, the 8th grade promotion celebration will be moved to Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

Fontana School will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday with special presentations by the kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth grades. Please join us! All family members can attend! The presentations will begin at 2:00 pm in the school gym.
