Reminder:
Please remember to pull as far down as possible when dropping students off. This will keep the line moving to minimize drop off time. If you stop before or close to the crosswalk the line behind you becomes long and fewer students can safely be dropped off.

Mark your calendars for December 10th-14th and join us at the book fair. Would you like to encourage your children to read more? It's neck and neck, back and forth! Fontana vs Walworth

First game against Walworth runs neck and neck.

Lady Falcons are fighting hard at the BFASA tournament this morning. After a hard fought battle, they fell to the Reek Lions.

Mr. Parker has informed the consortium schools that Big Foot High School will be closing early today due to a bomb threat. There is no reason to believe that this incident involves or otherwise effects Fontana School. Fontana School will remain open, and after school activities will be held as normal.

One faulty fire detector at school tonight has resulted in FFD and FPD being called several times to the school. There is no fire, and there has been no fire tonight. The error in the system will be addressed in the morning. After speaking with the Assistant Fire Chief, the Fire Chief, and Chief Cates, we have a plan for officers to increase the number of routine safety checks throughout the night. Please note: there is no threat to school or to the safety of our students, staff, or visitors.

Fontana is looking for a boys basketball coach for the upcoming season?
Practices would be from 3:30-4:45/5 Mon-Thurs...Friday is optional (coaches choice) games are normally on Tues/Thurs, B team plays first at 4:00. A team will follow at around 5:00ish. 10/29/18 Mr. Parker at Big Foot Union High School District sent out the following message earlier today, 10/29/18: BFHS received a message threatening the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We have been working closely with the Walworth Police Department in correlation to the threat. We DO NOT believe at this time it is credible in any way. However, to ensure everyone's safety, we will be closing BFHS at 12:30 pm today. Once again, we DO NOT believe it is credible in any way. The buses will be available at 12:20 to take home all bus riding students. Any students without a ride, may meet in the main gym and walk with administration to Grace Church south of BFHS (500 South Main Street) and get picked up from there. We ask that all staff and students be out of the building and parking lot by 12:30 pm. Anyone with information concerning the incident can message Walworth County Crime Stoppers P3 App or contact Big Foot High School at 262-275-2116 The Fontana Jt 8 School District is not closing early. All after school activities will be held as scheduled.

Yesterday's message from Fontana District didn't go out. This is the real one! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Check with Infinite Campus or Mr. Stolfe if the message didn't arrive where it should have or arrived where it shouldn't.

We think we have identified the issues behind our all-call for the lunch balances. To test the system, there will be a message sent via text, email, and voice tomorrow (10/25) at 4:15 p.m. Please check your Infinite Campus information or contact school for help if you do not receive the messages or if you need to change who gets which message.

Districts, students, and parents are reporting an issue with the new Campus Student and Campus Parent apps. Upon opening their app, some students and parents are seeing a blank white screen or a white screen showing a “Connection Error” message.
Initial investigation points to intermittent connectivity issues when the system authenticates the user’s credentials. At no time is any data at risk of being compromised. We appreciate your patience as we further investigate to resolve this issue. Until this issue is resolved, students and parents experiencing this issue may access Campus Student or Campus Parent on their mobile device by using a web browser.
If your district desires to review updates, please refer to Campus Community. Students and parents desiring to review updates may see them at our public page for students and parents.
Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Due to the incident at Big Foot High School today, the Lyric Opera performance was canceled. As soon as I was informed of the situation, the bus was canceled, and our 5th graders continued with a normal school day. There is no reason to believe that the incident was related in any way to Fontana School, and we are continuing our normal school day. I want to reassure you, though, that Chief Cates and I will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day.

Four 8th grade students attended the middle school leadership conference at UW-Whitewater on Thursday, October 11th. The students
