Our Mission at Fontana is to ensure success for "Every Student, Every Day, Whatever it Takes". We have had so many examples of this already this school year including students helping out while our custodial staff is short handed, substitute teaching staff jumping in and adjusting mid-day to do what is best for kids, parents supporting our school in all facets, and staff stepping up to make sure all students receive the individualized support necessary. Thank you Fontana and we are moving in the right direction each day, Whatever it Takes!! #flyintoexcellence #unitedweSOAR

He happily answered student questions pertaining to his own life and experiences with games of every kind.

The past week has provided our students time with Big Foot High School student athletes about getting involved, Fontana Fire safety classes, and continued filming with Mr. McCanna's Fontana Famous Film Club!! Learning inside and outside the classroom, while connecting beyond our 8th grade walls, is connected to high school, beyond high school, and into careers.

The Fontana XC season wrapped up their third season last night participating in the Rock Valley Conference meet at UW-Whitewater. Both the boys and girls teams took 6th. We had one BFAMS runner for boys and girls place in the top 10 for conference. We have grown our race schedule from 1 meet three seasons ago to 7 meets this season. All kids showed great improvement over one season, and returning kids are seeing the results from competing in multiple seasons. We look forward to the 2024 season for Track & Field and XC and welcome all 6th-8th grade boys and girls to join us.

6th grade was fortunate to learn with the American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI today. A matinee viewing of "Our Town" kept each student engaged and interested. What a beautiful facility on a wonderful day to watch outdoor theatre. Thank you to our generous PTSO for helping to fund, chaperone, and setup this event. #unitedweSOAR #flyintoexcellence

Hello Falcon Parents! This year we are competing as a joint team with our Big Foot feeder schools. By competing together with Reek, Sharon, and Walworth it opens up so many more opportunities and let's us compete as a team and give some competition back on the course. This past Tuesday we traveled to Clinton High School for our first invite as a full team. The Big Foot Area Middle School team really represented, especially our Fontana runners. The boys had 8 of the top 10 spots, high lighting Alex Reckamp placing 5th with a 11:59 finish in his 3k. The girls had 2 place in the top 10 both being Fontana runners. Cassidy Vilona placing 4th with a 12:31 and Alyvia Hanna in 5th with a 12:32 in their 3k finish. Thursday the team traveled to Edgerton to race in the Silverwood Invite. They experienced a real trail run and really enjoyed running through the woods. We had 4 big foot Middle school boys place in the top 10, one being Alex Reckamp in 9th place with a 11:24 3k finish. Our girls had a Sharon runner in the top 10 taking 3rd. New goals were set for all. We look forward to our 2 meets next week. Monday 9/18 at Duck Pond, boys race 4pm and girls race 430pm. Then Thursday 9/21 at Duck Pond as well, boys racing 330pm and girls at 4pm. We encourage our community to come cheer on all our runners both days.
