Hello Falcons! I am so excited to be introducing myself as the new band teacher at Fontana! My name is Angela Jacoby and I graduated from UW-Whitewater in May 2022. I've done a few long term substitute placements since then and I am so excited to have found a wonderful school to call home! I absolutely cannot wait to see what this first year of teaching holds for me and I cannot wait to get started with your young musicians!

Don't forget, tomorrow is our second Tuesday for our Summer of Continuous Excellence! Our partners from the Fontana Public Library will be there from 10-11a with magician Zack Percell of TnZ Magic. From 11-12p students will have the opportunity to continue their reading and math challenge along with other snacks and crafts. You won't want to miss the prizes and snacks along with additional reading/math to stay sharp!!

Fontana is excited to partner with Mack Glass this summer to offer a community glass blowing class. This is available to anyone 12 and older (yes adults too)!! Space is limited (10 people). Hello Falcon Families, The 4th grade class has the honor of presenting an Arbor Day Program for the Village of Fontana to continue our tradition of being known as a "tree city." This Friday, April 28th at 2:30 pm, Fontana Elementary School will be hosting an event open to the public to educate and carry on the tradition for the Village of Fontana. Hello Falcons! Our Fine Arts Night will go on as planned from 5:30p to 7p tonight at Fontana School. We understand there is a weather watch for our area and we will adjust with any changes in the forecast. As of 3:25p today we will have our Fine Arts Night as planned. Be safe and see you soon!

ATTENTION Facons! The annual Fontana Fine Arts Night will take place tomorrow, Thursday April 20th. The evening will start at 5:30pm and ends at 7:00pm. Students performing need to arrive 15 minutes prior to their performance time dressed in concert attire (white top, black bottom, black shoes). There will be a scavenger hunt, ice cream sundae fundraiser, and a 50/50 raffle drawing at 6:00pm. Performance times are as follows: 4th Band - 5:30 4th/5th Choir - 5:40 5th Band - 5:50 Gianna - 6:00 MS Band - 6:10 MS Choir -6:20 50/50 Raffle - 6:30 Jazz Band - 6:40

Our students have been preparing, practicing, and working hard for their upcoming musical "The Wizard of Oz Jr." You will be amazed so don't miss out on your opportunity to watch our Falcon Musical on April 14th and 15th. More to come!!

We are proud of three Falcon siblings that participated in the State Wrestling Tournament this past weekend at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Callie, Landon and Lydia qualified and wrestled at State. They all did great and Lydia came home with 3rd place hardware!! Great job! #flyintoexcellence #unitedwesoar #warfelswrestle

Hello Falcons!! Due to inclement weather and a winter storm warning we will be closing school for tomorrow, Thursday, February 16th. Happy Snow Day and please be safe! As always, contact our office with any questions.

8th grade students resumed a winter tradition here at Fontana! In science class with Mrs. Rabe, students assembled a wooden cubicle frame and began scooping snow into an opening at the top. From there, students took turns volunteering to climb in and stomp the snow down. During art class with Mr. McCanna, students formed groups and brainstormed sculpture ideas using floral foam as their prototypes. Finally, they used shovels, trowels, and brushes to bring their snow creations to life! Students and families enjoyed these fun, frosty formations until mother nature decided she'd had enough with them!"

Our first ever Forensics speech teams will be forming in the next month!! All 1-5th grade students are eligible to join. Hello Middle School Parents, We are excited to start our girls basketball season this week for 6-8th grade girls! Practice started today and our first game will be on January 12th. We would like to engage as many girls as possible as this is a fun way to interact with peers and meet new friends while staying active! Winter break has been busy at Fontana. The Falcon Early Childhood Center is open this week and we were fortunate to upgrade our secure entrance in the daycare today. We now have an upgraded security doorbell with communication/video capabilities. Happy winter break Falcons!!

Being thankful and showing gratitude can often be a time for us to pause, take notice, and appreciate the world around us. May you share peace and time for gratitude this Thanksgiving Holiday.
